Making Tracks

I had mentioned before a piece I did for friend and author, J Daniel Sawyer. Well, I got to do another one, the next in his instructional series.

Making Tracks BG2

This one was a bit of a challenge since I was originally presented with just the abstract idea of how to visually show the transition of text-to-audio and, If I could help it, I wanted to capture the title as well as the theme. After making over a dozen thumbnails and getting some feedback from Dan, we worked it down to this. It’s an image I feel good about and look nice on the cover.

If you’re an author and want to do a podcast ready adaptation of your work, I really recommend this. If you need proof of Dan’s chops here, check out his podcasts for Sculpting God and Antithesis Book 1. (links for those are in the sidebar of his site.)

Throwing Lead

Recently, I had done some work for author J Daniel Sawyer. What he needed from me was cover art for his charming instructional guide. This was a lot of fun to do and since this is the first in a series, as long he thinks I’m a good fit for the work, I wanna keep doing it.

By way of shameless self promotion, I’d encourage you to go check it out!
